Learn about iFLOOR Hardwood
Of all floors, hardwood is still the most popular and that trend will likely continue for the next several years. Alternatives like bamboo and cork are quickly gaining ground, but hardwood flooring remains the favorite.
Today’s hardwood floors are far different from what they used to be. As technology has progressed, efficiency has improved, quality has improved, the surface finishes are better and more durable, etc. We’re also much more aware of the impact on the environment and several steps have been taken to ensure proper forest management, as well as a greater commitment from manufacturers to take more environmental responsibility.
At iFLOOR, we only sell wood flooring from reputable companies with that commitment we just described. Since we became the first internet flooring retailer in 1998, our own environmental ideals have been a cornerstone of our organization. It’s important to us and we know it’s as equally important to you.
Many of our customers know exactly for what they’re looking. Others are just beginning their search. If you’re the latter, or even the former, it helps to know exactly what you’re getting into before you begin making your selection.
Some important things to first consider are the room in which you plan to install your new floor, the type of subfloor, what type of transitions you’ll need where your new floor meets other existing floors, etc. For example, if you have concrete sub floors, you’ll want to begin your search in engineered hardwood flooring or engineered HDF core flooring. Due to the moisture content of concrete and the porous nature of solid hardwood flooring, installing solid wood on concrete is never recommended. Many consumers will choose a floating wood floor in this situation.
If you have any questions about a product, installation or just how the process of buying from iFLOOR works, call our factory trained experts at 1-800-454-3941 and get the help you need. We’re not only known for our big discounts on hardwood floors, but also for our A+ rated customer service.
