By Kevin in Tukwila, WA: It has a core like a laminate floor but bamboo on top. It is real bamboo, at least the part you walk on. We used cork underlayment and it's a lot quieter than the old laminate we replaced, plus you can't even compare the two in looks. The price was less than we paid 10 years ago for something inferior and we paid much less than we saw at the home stores. I'm very pleased with iFloor.
