Installation Kraft Paper

Used as an underlayment, Installation Kraft Paper is a very economical and effective moisture vapor barrier. It helps slow the transference of moisture vapor originating beneath the floor system, making it a critical component of any hardwood or vinyl floor system. By slowing the rate of moisture migration, it protects hardwood floors from the effects of moisture related problems such as buckling, cracking, and cupping. Installation Kraft Paper is a semi-permeable underlayment and is therefore less likely than common ?poly? or plastic film products to trap moisture and condensation between the sub-floor and finished floor. Using Installation Kraft Paper significantly minimizes dust and reduces noise transfer. Our Installation Kraft Paper consists of two layers of kraft paper laminated to a central layer of asphalt. Installation Kraft Paper is a non-reinforced 30/30/30 duplex Grade ?B? paper. It weighs approximately 3 lbs/100 square feet.
