Long-time snack bar reopens with laminate flooring
Long-time snack bar reopens with laminate flooring A popular snack bar in Madeira Beach, Florida, had been closed for more than 12 years as the town was unsure of how to use the building without triggering a lawsuit. The St. Petersburg Times reports that beachgoers were recently pleased to see that the Snack Shack reopened after a lengthy renovation to provide customers with the delicious cuisine once again.
"It is wonderful to be able to get a hot dog on the beach," city manager W.D. Higginbotham Jr. told the news source. "Having the Snack Shack open is really making people excited to come to the park,"
The renovation of the 1930s-era building was undertaken by Mike and Rita Janecek. Some of the updates they made to the hot dog bar include installing new counters, seating and laminate flooring. While it is open for business, the couple plans to add even more amenities in the coming weeks, such as televisions and shaded outdoor seating.
Choosing laminate flooring for the highly-trafficked eatery may have been a good decision, as experts claim that the material is one of the most durable flooring options available. Additionally, the North American Laminate Flooring Association reports that laminate comes in a number of different styles, offering builders a wide variety of choices.
