Obama's former apartment features hardwood flooring
Obama's former apartment features hardwood flooring The New York City real estate scene is abuzz with exciting news - President Obama's former apartment is currently for sale. The Upper West Side unit features exposed brick walls, a marble bathroom and hardwood flooring.
"A place to live is for you, but people would be more inclined to take this one than, say, 4W, even if the other was a little nicer. It's a dinner conversation," Dalila Bella of CitiHabitats, the listing agent on the property, told The New York Times.
The modest apartment boasts no spectacular amenities, but, according to the National Post, Daniel Charles of CitiHabitats expects the property to be rented within the day. "Its nothing special," he told the publication, "But we're really excited about it."
While Obama's history may be the apartment's main draw, hardwood flooring is also a feature that appeals to many interested renters and buyers. In fact, the National Wood Flooring Association reports that by a three-to-one margin, real estate agents said that a house with wood floors would sell faster than a carpeted home.
Wood flooring is durable and easy to maintain, and provides any room with warmth and elegance.
