Mobile showroom stresses importance of green living
Mobile showroom stresses importance of green living Going green inside one's home has become one of the most popular trends in interior design, and thanks to a mobile showroom in Boston, Massachusetts, it may have become a bit easier. The Boston Globe reports that the mobile showroom provides passersby with a unique look into eco-friendly living, and also offers an opportunity to purchase items that tread lightly on the environment.
"You might buy a ChicoBag [a compact, reusable shopping bag] for five bucks, but we look at that as a gateway drug," Lee Schneider, one of the operators, told the news source. "Our interest is really in the home design stuff."
Schneider and his business partner, Barry Greenstein, plan to have the truck at the Sowa Open Market on certain weekends in September and October, but will be other places.end They plan to use Twitter to inform their followers as to where they are.
Along with providing products to consumers, the truck provides ideas for design, including bamboo cabinets and cork flooring.
According to TLC.com, cork flooring is one of the most environmentally friendly options available to homeowners. Not only is made from a sustainable material, but cork flooring is also a great insulator, as its millions of tiny cells are especially effective at trapping air.
