Arizona home refurbished with bamboo flooring
Arizona home refurbished with bamboo flooring A couple in Glendale, Arizona, have transformed a ranch-style home into an abode that is splashed with touches of Asian influence. The Glendale News-Press reports that the impressive house, which was built in 1959, will be featured in the Glendale Historical Society Fall Home Tour in early October.
Perhaps the most striking feature of the structure is the sitting room that immediately greets guests when they enter. A wood-burning fireplace gives the space a warm touch, and the room boasts a pair of sliding glass doors - one opens up to the pool, and the other to a relaxing Japanese patio and garden.
"On the weekends I can stay home, and there's an indoor/outdoor feeling, like we're on vacation," homeowner Arlet Davoodian told the news source.
Davoodian and her husband also performed several upgrades to the house, including replacing the carpet in the living and dining rooms with bamboo flooring.
Those looking to update the interior of their home may want to consider installing bamboo flooring. TLC.com reports that the material offers homeowners a durable and versatile flooring option, and since it is made from a sustainable material, it is especially eco-friendly.
